We bought a condo through Linda Johnston and while we never met Linda or saw the property in person, due to Covid-19, we were extremely pleased with her. She showed us several properties via Face Time and she was very patient and made sure to find out the answers to all of our questions. She was so professional and yet personal. My husband and I recently relocated from Illinois to the Florida area this past fall. It was by God's grace that we just happened to stop into the Century 21 office (2824 Manatee Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208) and Linda Johnston just happened to be working. We only had an hour to spend with her and it was by far the most productive hour that we have ever spent with a realtor. It didn't take long to explain our situation and what we were looking for before she was pointing us in directions that were dead on with what we wanted. We quickly fell in love with a house out in the Del Tierra subdivision. Our kids love the school and we love the location. We look back now and truly feel blessed that Linda pointed us in the direction that she did. Bradenton is a large town that we knew nothing about. We basically trusted Linda's judgement and she absolutely delivered.

Unfortunately we ran into some unforeseen problems with the builder, that without Linda, I am afraid of what the outcome might have been. During the walk through, Linda knew exactly what to look for. There were so many issues with the house that Linda immediately spotted, many of which we wouldn't have thought to even look for. Some of these problems would have been very costly for us to fix had she not brought it to the builder's attention. We consider ourselves trusting people and this was definitely not a trustworthy company. Linda made sure that we didn't sign anything until everything was to satisfaction. This company would have easily "bullied" us, but not Linda. Despite the fact that it was all men with attitudes she fought for us 100% until the job was done. I don't know how many other realtors would have really stood up to D R Horton like Linda did.

The original closing date was scheduled for November 9th. Somehow the builder, D R Horton, managed to ruin our thanksgiving and almost ruined Christmas. The condo we were renting until our house was done was scheduled to be rented out to another group on December 25th. We would have never dreamed that we'd need that condo for that long but D R Horton drug there feet so long that at one point we were looking at a closing date of December 28th, which would have entailed us spending Christmas in a hotel with four kids (2 of which are 4 year old twins who still believe in Santa). There were so many moments in the days before Christmas that I wanted to sit and cry. We had taken our kids from their friends and family with a promise of this great house, in a great neighborhood, in sunny Florida and now they were going to be spending Christmas in a hotel. Fortunately for us, Linda went above and beyond the call of her job and made sure we got the house before Christmas. She and her husband even brought us over Christmas dinner since we hadn't had time to unpack any of the kitchen utensils. They definitely treated us like family. That is a pretty impressive realtor.
